Jan McLean Doll
First manufactured in 1987, Jan McLean dolls are hardly antiques. Despite their relative newness to the collector’s market, dolls made by this New Zealand doll maker are in demand by doll collectors throughout the world.
Collectors can choose from porcelain dolls meant for the
collector’s market or more durable vinyl dolls. The vinyl dolls, known as
‘Lollipop Girls’, are much like a high quality, haute couture version of a
Barbie doll. Regardless of their material, all Effanbee dolls have a playful,
human-like expression. However, they should not be mistaken for toys; these are
